"I'm sharing what I actually do, the process, the tools,
the real field knowledge, in one room, one day, with you."
This is personal. I’m sharing what I actually do, the process I use, the tools I work with, and the real field knowledge I’ve learned from doing projection mapping in actual projects, all in one room with you.
For Projection Mapping Workshop 2.0, we’re taking things to a bigger scale. You’ll get to experience larger projection setups, bigger structures, and more powerful projectors. More space, more light, and definitely more fun.
What’s inside:
Software, Simple to Advanced
We’ll start with beginner-friendly tools and the minimum setup you need to get started. The goal is for you to be able to bring what you learn back home and try it in your own space. I’ll also give you a preview of how I work with more advanced software and the actual setups I’ve used in my past installations. You’ll learn what to use, when to use it, and how the different tools work together.
Street Smart Techniques
The things you only learn by actually doing the work. Practical shortcuts, on-site problem solving, setup tips, and the little things that can make a big difference when you’re working with projection.
Creating That Immersive Feeling
Projecting an image is one thing. Making people feel like they’re inside it is another. I’ll share how I approach visuals, movement, light, scale, and space to create that immersive feeling.
Behind the Scenes of Real Projects
I’ll break down some of my actual projection mapping projects, including the creative decisions, technical challenges, mistakes, and solutions along the way. No overly complicated theory, just what I actually do and what I’ve learned from doing it.
Hands-On Time
You’ll get to create and run your own projection work throughout the workshop. We’ll start with a small indoor setup where you can experiment and learn, then take what you’ve created outside into a bigger-scale projection setup at 6PM.
Open Q&A
Bring your questions. Whether you’re just starting out or already working with projection, this is a space where you can ask about the process, equipment, software, and actual field work.
After the Workshop
The workshop doesn’t end when we pack up. Your video/projection work will be part of the Creative Tambay meetup at Likhang Filipino, happening the same day at 6PM. You’ll get to see your own work projected onto a bigger-scale Bahay Kubo model, giving you a chance to see how something you created on your laptop can translate into a larger physical space.
What you need
• Your own laptop and charger
• A USB-C dongle with an HDMI port, if your laptop doesn’t have HDMI
• OBS installed, with the Corner Pin 1.6 plugin
• Basic knowledge of media creation programs like Adobe, Canva, or CapCut is helpful, but not required
• A video that you own or have the rights to use, which will be projected onto the miniature Bahay Kubo. Minimum length: 30 seconds
Limited slots available.
If you’ve been wanting to learn projection mapping and actually get your hands on it, this is your chance to learn the process, create something yourself, and see it projected at a bigger scale.
